Nostos LLC is a company of family-owned producers, from two different estates within Greece. Each family takes pride in their tradition. The olive oil produced is the same consumed by each family. The oil is produced without refinement or chemical processing to preserve all important nutrients, vitamins and essential acids. All Virgin Olive oils are hand-picked and pressed within 48 hours.
Manikis olive groves — Laconia
Producers of Superior Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Manikis groves produce the Koroneiki and Myrtoelia varieties. The family has been producing olive oil for over 4 generations.
Koroneiki variety is fairly ranked as the world’s first by the International Olive Oil Council (IOOC). Koroneiki olive oil gives excellent aroma and mild to strong flavors. The excellent climate of over 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and small lots allow the producer to treat with care each olive tree and pick the olives at the right ripeness.
Mazis estate — Corfu (Island of Kerkyra)
Since 1800’s Mazis family has been producing Extra Virgin Olive oil of the Lianolia olive tree variety. Lianolia was introduced in Corfu and several areas in Greece when occupied by the Venetians between 1400’s and 1700’s. There are over 5 million olive trees in Corfu, giving the island its distinctive appeal.
The oil from Corfu island stands for quality and flavor that is fruity and smooth, mild aroma even in higher acidity levels.
